Roles & Responsibilities

Process and code vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with tact and persistence
Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure payment accuracy
Prepare and assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable
Communicate professionally with vendors and internal partners to answer questions
Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and reporting
Identify process improvements to streamline AP workflows and reduce errors

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting preferred
Comfortable using accounting software; experience with common systems is a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Excel for data entry and reconciliations
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
Good verbal and written communication skills for vendor and team interactions
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of invoice processing, purchase order matching, and payment cycles
Familiarity with reconciliation techniques and basic accounting principles
Ability to spot discrepancies and research root causes
Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to tasks
Comfortable working with electronic filing systems and databases
