Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to rehabilitation patients during overnight hours
• Monitor patient condition, recognize changes quickly, and escalate appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery goals
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress clearly and promptly
• Support patient and family education to promote independence and successful transitions
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current, active RN or LPN license for New Mexico (RN preferred; LPN candidates considered)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certifications a plus
• Comfortable and experienced with overnight/12+ hour shifts
• Experience in rehabilitation or med-surgical settings is highly desirable
• Strong communication, clinical assessment, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to pass facility-required background and health screenings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, care planning, and documentation
• Medication administration and IV proficiency (as applicable to scope of practice)
• Familiarity with rehabilitation principles and mobility/safety protocols
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced overnight environment
• Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
