Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality 3-D mammography, screening and diagnostic mammograms to support early detection and patient care
• Execute stereotactic biopsies, fine needle aspirations and needle localizations with precision and compassionate patient communication
• Accurately document procedures, findings and patient interactions in Epic for seamless continuity of care
• Adhere to isolation precautions and infection control standards to keep patients and staff safe
• Collaborate with radiology, nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient flow and care
• Provide clear patient education and emotional support before, during and after imaging and procedures
• Maintain imaging equipment, perform quality assurance checks and report any issues promptly
• Follow radiation safety and departmental protocols to ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant mammography experience (explicit requirement)
• ARRT (R) certification preferred
• BLS certification (listed as a required/desired certification)
• Demonstrated experience with Epic charting (Charting System: Required)
• Active state radiologic technologist licensure required (pending licenses are NOT accepted)
• Comfort working in both inpatient and outpatient procedure settings
• Ability to float between like units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• 3-D mammography, diagnostic and screening mammogram techniques
• Stereotactic biopsy procedures, fine needle aspiration and needle localization
• Infection control and isolation precautions
• Epic electronic health record proficiency
• Patient-centered communication and education
• Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient imaging workflows
• Radiation safety and QA processes
