Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Observe, record and report changes in resident condition, behavior and vital signs to nursing staff
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Assist with meal service and document intake as required
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Follow infection control policies and facility procedures to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Certification or eligibility to work in Pennsylvania preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) and completion of an accredited CNA program
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any required health screening
• Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong patient-focused priorities

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with basic patient care and ADLs
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety procedures
• Comfort taking and documenting vital signs and routine observations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and team members
• Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively in a clinical setting
• Basic charting skills and willingness to learn facility documentation systems
