Roles & Responsibilities

• Set up and verify all radiographic and cine imaging equipment prior to procedures to ensure smooth starts
• Perform quality control checks on cine radiographic images to maintain excellent image standards
• Prep patients for angiographic procedures with care, ensuring comfort and safety
• Assist physicians and interventional staff during cardiac cath and special procedures for efficient workflow
• Manipulate radiographic generators and equipment to achieve optimal image quality
• Operate hemodynamic monitors, pacemaker programmers, oxygen saturation devices, and cardiac output computers
• Conduct oxygen saturation studies and cardiac output measurements accurately and timely
• Maintain sterile technique: prepare sterile trays, support post-cath care, and help with room cleanup

Qualifications

• Cath Lab technologist experience — facility lists Cath Lab Tech experience as REQUIRED
• Active ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) — REQUIRED
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification — REQUIRED
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification — REQUIRED
• Complete skills checklist (current to 1 year) relevant to Cath Lab (document required)
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years (documents required)
• Full work history included with submission and scheduling requests provided at time of application
• Note: Facility requires candidates outside a 50-mile radius of the permanent address (local candidates will not be considered)

Knowledge & Skills

• Angiographic procedures and angiography imaging techniques
• Cine radiographic imaging and image quality control
• Radiography fundamentals and radiographic equipment setup
• Sterile technique, sterile tray setup, and post-cath patient care
• Hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac output measurement, and oxygen saturation studies
• Pacemaker operation and intra-procedural device handling
• Patient preparation, safe transfer, and procedure support
• Familiarity with Epic EMR for documentation and charting
• Room cleanup and equipment manipulation for efficient turnover
