Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift, 5x8), plus one regular weekend shift per week
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough inpatient physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of care
- Deliver hands-on treatments including gait training, mobility training and assistive device prescription
- Document assessments, plans, progress and discharges clearly and promptly in Epic
- Collaborate with nursing, case managers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and safe discharges
- Provide prosthetic training, adaptive device instruction and education for patients and families
- Prioritize patient safety—use proper body mechanics, Hoyer/assist lifts and fall prevention strategies
- Manage a typical caseload (approximately 6 patients per 8-hour day) while maintaining high-quality documentation
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist or license pending (LIC PEND welcome)
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience (inpatient/acute experience preferred)
- BLS certification required or preferred per facility guidelines
- Epic charting experience preferred
- IRF (Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility) experience preferred but not required
- Comfort floating across units including ICU, telemetry, med-surg and ED
- Willingness to work one regular weekend shift per week
Knowledge & Skills
- Inpatient and acute care physical therapy best practices
- Patient assessment, strength testing and vital sign monitoring
- Plan of care development, reassessments and discharge planning
- Gait training, transfer training and use of assistive devices (Hoyer, gait belt, walkers, crutches)
- Prosthetic training and wheelchair assessment
- Orthopedics, neurology and cardiopulmonary patient populations
- Documentation and time management skills within Epic
- Patient & family education, safety and injury prevention
