Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any concerning changes promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Document resident care accurately and timely in the facility record system
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and family members to promote a positive experience

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — state reciprocity/ability to obtain if applicable
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic clinical tasks in a long-term care setting
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous experience as a CNA is a plus but enthusiastic, well-trained candidates are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed CNA training program and state certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, assisting with hygiene and mobility
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
• Ability to document care accurately and follow care plans
• Compassionate resident-centered approach and strong interpersonal skills
• Teamwork mindset and ability to follow direction from RNs/LPNs
