Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Support nursing staff by taking and recording vital signs and reporting changes
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to ensure comfort and dignity
• Document care accurately and communicate observations to the care team
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through clear, respectful communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• Active state CNA certification or eligibility to obtain Pennsylvania certification
• Basic patient care experience; new grads who are certified are welcome to apply
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred when applicable
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings/immunizations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a care team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and safety best practices
• Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observation
• Infection control and safe handling techniques
• Clear, compassionate verbal and written communication
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Teamwork and following care plans as directed by nursing staff
