Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to support efficient, high-quality care
- Perform oral radiographic services safely and accurately to aid diagnosis and treatment
- Support the dentist during full-scope dentistry procedures and help ensure smooth clinical flow
- Educate and calm patients, explaining treatment plans clearly and compassionately
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with safety and sterilization standards
- Use dental management software like Dentrix (EPIC experience a plus) for scheduling and charting
Qualifications
- Current RDA License (required)
- Radiation Safety Certificate (required)
- Coronal Polish Certificate (required)
- CPR/BLS Certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a dental assistant working with Dentrix workflow (required)
- Pediatric dental experience (required)
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
Education
- Post High School Vocational or Specialized Training
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Four-handed dentistry and effective chairside support
- Oral radiographic techniques and radiation safety
- Dentrix workflow; familiarity with EPIC is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication with patients and team members
- Accurate record-keeping and adherence to sterilization protocols
- Patient education and the ability to put patients at ease
