Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical abilities and functional needs to create meaningful therapy plans
• Develop and implement individualized treatment programs that promote mobility and independence
• Use evidence-based interventions like therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and gait training
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Document care accurately and clearly in the medical record to support continuity
• Educate patients and families on home programs and safe mobility techniques
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure successful transitions

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in California (or eligible to obtain state license)
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; related bachelor's/master's accepted depending on experience
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Strong clinical assessment and manual therapy skills
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a rehab team
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred
• Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy accepted in some settings

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and gait training
• Knowledge of functional mobility assessment and outcome measures
• Familiarity with documentation best practices and electronic medical record systems
• Ability to develop measurable goals and progress patients toward them
• Strong patient education and coaching skills
