Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (3x12): Day shifts 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM; Night shifts 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM. Shifts assigned across all days of the week, self-scheduled based on seniority; weekends as assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging studies across adult and ED populations, prioritizing patient safety and diagnostic accuracy
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely and monitor patients for reactions
• Operate and optimize GE and Toshiba 64-slice scanners, maintaining image quality standards
• Chart thoroughly and accurately in Epic to support continuity of care
• Assist with specialized studies such as coronary CTA, brain perfusion, vascular CTA, biopsies, and aspirations
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and isolation precautions at all times
• Collaborate with ED and stroke teams for time-sensitive imaging and rapid turnaround
• Support department flow in a busy acute care environment and mentor peers when appropriate

Qualifications

• Current ARRT registration (ARRT CT or ARRT R accepted)
• ARRT Advanced certification preferred
• California CRT (CA CRT) required; pending licenses are not accepted
• BLS current
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience required (first-timers may be considered)
• Comfortable working all shift times and rotating schedules
• Ability to perform advanced CT procedures such as CTA, perfusion, biopsies, and special procedures

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven CT imaging skills including protocol selection for abdomen, pelvis, chest, vascular, spine, and cardiac studies
• Contrast administration and patient monitoring expertise
• Strong working knowledge of radiation safety principles
• Experience with Epic charting and GE PACS/Toshiba systems
• Familiarity with Fuji Synapse a plus
• Comfortable in fast-paced ED and acute care settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
