Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 3x12-hour shifts: Day 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and Night 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; rotating schedule includes weekends (typical pattern: 3 shifts per week), guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week pay period. Block schedules are not available.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care for patients from neonates to geriatrics, triaging and prioritizing effectively
• Manage cardiac monitoring and quickly interpret and treat dysrhythmias using ACLS protocols
• Provide ventilator management and care for ventilated patients
• Establish and maintain IV access, perform phlebotomy, and administer medications safely
• Perform procedural sedation and monitor continuous IV sedation when required
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned, coordinating the unit, delegating tasks, and supporting staff
• Document care accurately in Epic and communicate clearly with interdisciplinary teams
• Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response and trauma care as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license required (pending licenses are not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of emergency nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS and PALS
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• TNCC preferred
• Demonstrated skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and ventilator management
• Ability to work rotating day and night 12-hour shifts and cover weekends

• Emergency nursing principles and rapid assessment
• ACLS, BLS, PALS life support protocols
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• IV therapy, starting and maintaining IVs, and phlebotomy
• Ventilator management and care for respiratory patients
• Procedural sedation and continuous IV sedation monitoring
• Comfortable using Epic electronic health record
• Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to function in a small critical access hospital setting
