Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs and observe changes in resident condition
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and dignity
• Follow individualized care plans and document care accurately and promptly
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and family members about resident needs
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe, clean environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification via Prometric Hawaii (required)
• Valid Hawaii CNA/state registry enrollment as applicable
• Willingness and ability to work all weekends and fulfill a 40 hour/week schedule
• Experience in long-term care preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of long-term care principles and resident-centered care
• Basic clinical skills including vital signs and ADL assistance
• Patient transfer and safe lifting techniques
• Clear communication, teamwork, and observational skills
• Accurate documentation and time management
