Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality peri-procedural nursing for endoscopy patients including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS and EBUS
• Monitor and manage conscious sedation and recover patients from monitored anesthesia care
• Perform airway management and post-procedure recovery to ensure smooth transitions
• Scrub or circulate as required for procedures and assist clinicians with specialized equipment (FUJI scopes, ION, ultrasound)
• Document thoroughly in Epic and handle specimen labeling/chain-of-custody correctly
• Respond to on-call duties as scheduled (every 5th weekend) and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for exceptional patient care
• Maintain competency through adherence to required certifications and facility protocols

Qualifications

• Active RN license — Alaska RN license in hand preferred for Auto Offer (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (Endoscopy or procedural experience preferred)
• BLS required
• Preferred: ACLS, PALS, SGNA certification
• Hands-on experience or competency with procedures: Colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), Bronchoscopy; ability to scrub and circulate
• Ability to work inpatient and outpatient endoscopy settings and float within scope (float not required)
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and abide by RTO guidelines

Education

• Active RN license (Alaska preferred). ADN or BSN typical for the role.

Knowledge & Skills

• Monitoring and managing conscious sedation and recovery
• Airway management and post-procedure patient stabilization
• Specimen handling and accurate labeling
• Familiarity with FUJI scopes, ION equipment and endoscopy instrumentation
• Competent charting in Epic
• Ability to scrub, circulate and support complex endoscopic procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork in fast-paced acute hospital settings
