Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care on Telemetry and MedSurg units
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to changes quickly and confidently
• Float between medical/surgical and telemetry units to support patient care needs
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Complete required documentation, exams, and competency checklists promptly
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and safe transitions

Qualifications

• Active RN license (verification via Nursys required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications required
• Completion of Prime Basic Pharmacology, Specialty, and Core Competency exams as part of onboarding
• Successful completion of Prime Skills Checklist and a minimum 10-panel drug screen
• Required immunizations and health screenings: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap, Varicella, TB testing/clearance, fit testing
• Comfort and experience floating between Med/Surg and Telemetry units

Education

• Active RN license required (Nursys verification)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
• Strong med-surgical nursing knowledge and clinical assessment
• Medication administration and safety best practices
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced setting
• Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Adaptability to float across units and support varying patient populations
