Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform timely and focused patient assessments and deliver direct nursing care with compassion
• Conduct NIHSS evaluations and other neuro/stroke assessments as required
• Maintain BLS readiness and respond to emergent situations calmly and effectively
• Complete Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty competency testing to ensure top-quality care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute safe patient care plans
• Document care accurately and promptly in the patient record to support continuity
• Verify and maintain licensure and required health screenings and immunizations

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (license/certificate verification required)
• BLS certification (required)
• NIHSS certification/competency (required)
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
• Up-to-date immunizations and health requirements (e.g., COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hep B, Tdap, TB screening, flu, varicella)
• Current fit test, drug screen, and ability to meet facility onboarding health screenings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment skills, especially neurologic/stroke assessment using NIHSS
• Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with providers and staff
• Accurate and timely clinical documentation practices
• Comfort with competency-based checklists and specialty testing processes
