Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry and medical-surgical nursing care with vigilance and heart
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry, promptly recognizing and escalating changes
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and create prioritized plans of care
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely and document care accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate smooth transitions of care
• Complete required competency checklists and specialty testing to maintain excellence
• Educate patients and families with clear, compassionate communication

Qualifications

• Active RN license (able to verify licensure/certification as required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications as listed in the order
• Clinical experience on telemetry and medical-surgical units (experience preferred)
• Ability to complete Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty competency testing
• Willingness and ability to complete required health screening: fit test, drug screen, immunizations, TB testing, COVID questionnaire

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Medical-surgical patient management including post-op and med-surg issues
• Proficiency with ACLS algorithms and emergency response
• Stroke assessment knowledge (NIHSS) and triage considerations
• Strong clinical documentation and electronic health record familiarity
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
