Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and therapy to patients across the unit
• Operate and monitor ventilators and respiratory equipment, adjusting settings per protocol
• Perform patient assessments and interpret respiratory data to inform care
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop patient-centered plans
• Document treatments, responses and progress accurately in the medical record
• Participate in Trinity-specific competency testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical standards
• Adhere to infection control practices and ensure immunization and screening requirements are met

Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapy license for the state of Ohio (License/Certificate Verification required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Required health screenings and immunizations: Fit Test, 2-Step PPD or IGRA, Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Trinity Color Vision
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a long-term travel assignment and integrate into established teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong foundation in respiratory therapy practices and patient assessment
• Experience with ventilator management and oxygen therapy principles
• Competence in reading and interpreting ABGs and respiratory monitoring data
• Familiarity with Trinity-specific competency processes and clinical documentation
• Clear communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary staff
• Commitment to infection control, patient safety and professional standards
