Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality medical-surgical and ortho-surgical nursing care to adult patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor clinical status closely
• Administer medications and treatments safely, documenting responses and changes
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation including skills checklist and required certifications
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and safe discharge

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license with Nursys license verification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical-surgical and/or ortho-surgical nursing (explicit requirement)
• Completed skills checklist and ability to provide references and a current certification card
• Work history or resume with no gaps greater than 60 days
• Badge-appropriate photo and completed demographic profile required prior to start

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license (ADN or BSN acceptable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ortho/surgical clinical skills and hands-on post-operative care experience
• Solid medical-surgical nursing knowledge including assessment and wound care
• Comfortable with perioperative and orthopedic patient needs and mobility assistance
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for fast-paced surgical settings
• Detail-oriented documentation and adherence to licensure/verifications
