Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing changes in condition quickly
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage advanced therapies with precision
• Collaborate proactively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members
• Perform ventilator management and advanced life support interventions as needed
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record to ensure continuity
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and their families during high-stress moments

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact license where applicable)
• ICU experience preferred; per diem RNs with recent critical care exposure encouraged to apply
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to pass facility onboarding requirements
• Strong critical thinking, effective communication, and the ability to work autonomously on night shifts

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring
• Ventilator and hemodynamic support knowledge
• IV therapy, infusion pump management, and titration of vasoactive medications
• Familiarity with ICU workflows and emergency response protocols
• Clear, concise clinical documentation and handoff communication
