Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered critical care to adults in the ICU
• Perform continuous monitoring and timely assessment of ventilators, hemodynamics, and life-support systems
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the medical record
• Educate and support patients and families during critical illness
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement, safety initiatives, and clinical best-practice implementation

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential — ability to obtain Hawaii RN licensure as required
• Experience in critical care/ICU nursing preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in high-acuity settings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and rapid decision-making
• Mechanical ventilation fundamentals and ventilator troubleshooting
• Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive drips
• Advanced IV medication administration and infusion pump management
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Infection prevention, sepsis management, and ICU protocols
