Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly and accurately in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care for trauma, cardiac, and stroke patients
• Perform and document NIHSS assessments for suspected stroke patients with precision
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement timely care plans
• Deliver advanced life support interventions per ACLS and BLS guidelines when required
• Maintain thorough, timely charting and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain excellence

Qualifications

• Active nursing license - will be verified through License/Certificate Verification
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) required or equivalent trauma competency
• NIHSS certification or demonstrated competency in stroke assessment
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty-specific competency testing
• Required health clearances: 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon), fit test, and Trinity-specific COVID questionnaire
• Up-to-date immunizations/health requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, and a completed physical/health statement
• Successful Trinity 10-panel drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and emergency assessment skills
• Trauma resuscitation and stabilization experience
• Proficient with NIHSS stroke assessments and stroke pathway workflows
• Skilled in advanced cardiac life support interventions (ACLS/BLS)
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity situations
• Accurate, timely electronic medical record documentation
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and patient needs
