Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patients
• Rapidly assess and triage patients to prioritize care when every minute counts
• Administer medications, IVs and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and multidisciplinary teams to create effective care plans
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses clearly and promptly
• Stabilize patients during acute events and escalate care appropriately
• Participate in department initiatives to improve patient flow and outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in Hawaii
• Experience or interest in Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment and triage skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively

Education

• Active RN licensure in Hawaii (required)
• BSN preferred; ADN with relevant ED experience will be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment techniques
• Intravenous therapy, medication administration and wound care
• Familiarity with EKG interpretation and acute care protocols
• Experienced documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Trauma-informed care and rapid decision-making under pressure
• Teamwork, clear communication and patient-centered bedside manner
