Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation medical care to adults and geriatric patients
Lead and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team of nurses, therapists, and physicians
Manage medical case care and coordinate treatment plans to optimize patient function
Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized rehabilitation plans for a wide range of diagnoses
Document clinical progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team
Support unit growth and contribute to quality improvement efforts in the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit

Qualifications

Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) — required
Experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation; new graduates are not being accepted
Proven ability in medical case management and working within interdisciplinary teams
Not accepting Locum candidates — seeking a permanent, committed team member

Education

Medical degree (MD or DO) and board certification in PM&R

Knowledge & Skills

Inpatient rehabilitation practices and acute care management
Medical case management and interdisciplinary collaboration
Experience with stroke, head injury, spinal cord injury, Guillain-Barré, Parkinson’s, MS, cardiac and orthopedic rehabilitation
Patient-centered care across adult and geriatric populations
Ability to contribute to unit growth and service development
