Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient care to adult patients focused on prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions
• Manage patient panels with evidence-based care plans and continuity across outpatient and hospital services
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with Lakeshore Primary Care offices to support continuity and access
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes
• Contribute to teaching and mentoring by working with Residents, Medical Students, and Fellows
• Engage in clinical quality initiatives and practice improvement efforts to enhance care delivery

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent) with completion of an Internal Medicine residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Eligible for or holding an active Michigan medical license
• Experience in outpatient primary care preferred; new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
• Willingness to participate in call rotation across Lakeshore Primary Care offices
• Commitment to teaching and ability to work in a collaborative clinical environment

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO); Internal Medicine residency required

Knowledge & Skills

• Outpatient care and preventive medicine for adult patients
• Diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases
• Primary care workflows, care coordination, and referral management
• Clinical teaching and mentorship for Residents, Medical Students, and Fellows
• Effective team collaboration and patient-centered communication
• Comfort with practice protocols in an acute-care–affiliated primary care setting
