Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for acute care patients
• Provide post-op rehabilitation and body mechanics training to support safe recovery
• Deliver neurologic rehabilitation and post-stroke therapy to maximize patient function
• Teach and prescribe Home Exercise Programs (HEP) and provide patient/family education
• Document accurately and timely in the charting system required by the facility
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Maintain professional certifications and competence in evidence-based practices

Qualifications

• Current state Physical Therapist license (State licensure required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Minimum 1 year of PT experience preferred — 1st-timers and recent grads are welcome
• Comfortable with acute care caseloads including post-op orthopedics and neurologic cases
• Charting system familiarity required (facility lists 'Any' charting system)
• Strong communication skills for patient/family education and interdisciplinary collaboration

Knowledge & Skills

• Assessment and patient evaluation
• Body mechanics and movement analysis
• Orthopedics: total hip/knee, post-op shoulder, spinal procedures
• Neurologic rehabilitation: post-stroke, TBI, SCI, Parkinson’s, MS
• Post-op care and mobility training
• Home Exercise Program (HEP) design and patient/family education
• Accurate clinical charting and documentation
