Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and provide attentive supportive care following established safety protocols
• Assess and monitor oncology patients, recognizing subtle changes and acting promptly
• Collaborate closely with oncology providers and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans
• Use acuity-based staffing tools to prioritize patient assignments and ensure safe staffing
• Educate patients and families about treatments, side-effect management, and supportive resources
• Document clinical care thoroughly and maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Advocate for patient needs and escalate concerns to providers when appropriate

Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• ONS or ANCC certification preferred
• Experience in oncology nursing with chemotherapy administration experience preferred
• Comfort working with acuity-based staffing models and collaborating with providers
• Ability to meet Regional West performance expectations and fulfill contract travel requirements

• Oncology nursing and chemotherapy administration expertise
• Patient supportive care and symptom management
• Acuity-based staffing interpretation and prioritization
• Strong clinical assessment and IV/infusion skills
• Clear documentation, communication, and patient education abilities
• Familiarity with oncology safety protocols and infection control
