Roles & Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and prepare them for their visit to create a comfortable experience
• Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and reason for visit accurately
• Assist clinicians during examinations and minor procedures in the ambulatory setting
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, specimen handling, and administering injections as directed
• Document patient encounters and update electronic health records promptly and accurately
• Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with clinical and administrative teams
• Ensure clinic rooms and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care
• Support patient education and follow-up instructions to promote positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered/Relevant MA credential preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working in an ambulatory clinic environment and supporting a fast-paced schedule
• Valid state-required certifications and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant diploma/certificate preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with taking vitals, patient triage, and clinical room setup
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and accurate documentation
• Skills in phlebotomy, injections, and specimen collection (preferred)
• Knowledge of HIPAA and maintaining patient confidentiality
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
