Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms, using 3-D mammography technology to support accurate diagnoses
• Assist with and perform stereotactic biopsies, fine needle aspirations, and needle localizations with attention to safety and patient comfort
• Chart exams and findings accurately in Epic and maintain clean, timely documentation
• Follow isolation precautions and facility infection control policies to protect patients and staff
• Provide compassionate patient education and support during breast imaging procedures
• Float between imaging units as needed to meet patient care demands and maintain clinic flow
• Collaborate with radiologists, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mammography or breast imaging experience
• ARRT (R) certification preferred
• BLS certification preferred
• Current, active state radiologic technologist license required (pending licenses not accepted at submission)
• Comfortable charting in Epic and working in both inpatient and outpatient procedure settings
• Ability to handle an average patient volume (~20 visits/day) and work across two procedure rooms
• Willingness to float between units when needed

• 3-D mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis
• Screening and diagnostic mammography techniques
• Stereotactic biopsy, fine needle aspiration, and needle localization procedures
• Breast imaging best practices and patient-centered care
• Epic charting and clinical documentation
• Isolation precautions and basic infection control
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
