Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams across adult and pediatric populations using Siemens MRI systems, ensuring clinical images meet protocol and radiologist expectations
• Safely prepare and administer contrast media when indicated, following facility policies and patient safety best practices
• Apply appropriate isolation precautions and radiation safety principles to protect patients and staff
• Operate advanced MRI sequences and post-processing (T1, T2, MIP, MPR, Perfusion) and perform routine image post-processing as needed
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary radiology staff to optimize patient care and turnaround times
• Maintain documentation and charting for procedures, patient history, and imaging studies with clarity and accuracy
• Participate in equipment checks, quality control, and troubleshooting to keep the MRI suite functioning smoothly

Qualifications

• ARRT MR certification (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• State licensure (required) — active compact license honored for Swedish facilities
• Minimum 2 years MRI experience (per posting)
• Weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and comfort with night shifts
• Previous charge or lead experience preferred
• Starting peripheral IVs and advanced cardiac/cardiac stress MR experience are nice-to-haves

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Siemens MRI systems and routine maintenance checks
• Strong knowledge of MRI sequences: T1, T2, perfusion, MIP, MPR, diffusion and specialized protocols
• Experience with musculoskeletal, abdominal/pelvic, head & neck, spine, chest, and vascular MR studies (MRA/MRV)
• Contrast media preparation and administration expertise
• Familiarity with special imaging procedures: spectroscopy, CINE studies, gradient echo imaging, and ADC mapping
• Infection control, isolation precautions, and radiation safety practices
• Patient-focused communication, positioning skills, and ability to work in acute care/ICU/ER settings
