Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, reporting changes promptly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care that supports recovery and comfort
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to coordinate daily care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and preventive measures
• Maintain accurate electronic records and uphold facility policies and regulatory standards
• Support a positive team environment by mentoring peers and contributing to quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Mexico or ability to obtain state licensure quickly
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing / LPN/LVN program
• Previous LPN clinical experience preferred; travel/acute care experience a plus
• Ability to pass background check and required immunizations/documentation
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, patient-first mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and vital signs monitoring
• Medication administration and basic wound care
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Time management for long day shifts and prioritizing patient needs
• Teamwork, clear communication, and family education skills
• Ability to work independently while following established care plans
