Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with daily living activities
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling to promote independence
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate observations to clinical staff
- Support a positive patient experience by offering respectful, patient-centered care
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and adapting to per diem schedules
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with nursing teams
- Ability to pass facility requirements (background check, health screening) as needed
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient hygiene assistance
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety procedures
- Ability to assist with patient mobility and transfers safely
- Good teamwork, time management, and patient communication skills
