Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
Support mobility and transfer assistance while following safe lifting practices
Document care thoroughly and communicate observations to nurses and supervisors
Build rapport with residents and families, delivering respectful and person-centered care
Follow infection control procedures and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (valid in Pennsylvania)
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by the facility
Reliable, compassionate, and able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including lifting and prolonged standing

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; required: State CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and bedside skills
Good communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge of basic infection control and safety practices
Attention to detail for accurate documentation
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
