Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
Support safe patient transfers and mobility, following proper body mechanics
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and team members
Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and toileting while promoting dignity and independence
Accurately document care delivered and participate in shift handoffs

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Comfortable assisting with mobility and physical transfers
Strong communication skills and a warm, patient bedside manner
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required

Education

High school diploma or GED
Current CNA certification (state-specific)

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living and basic patient care
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Infection control principles and safe handling of sharps and biohazard materials
Basic charting and documentation skills
Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks
Compassionate patient interaction and family communication
