Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and assist with basic charting tasks
• Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to support individualized care plans
• Uphold infection control standards and maintain a clean, safe patient environment
• Offer emotional support and respectful communication to patients and families

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfortable working day shift hours (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) on a per-diem basis
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental patient care skills and familiarity with ADLs
• Accurate vital sign measurement and reporting
• Basic patient transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Understanding of infection prevention and safety protocols
• Good documentation habits and ability to follow care plans
• Compassionate bedside manner and patience with diverse populations
