Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem nights, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night shift). 30 minute meal break. Days of week not specified (as-needed coverage).

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with compassion and respect
Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Support patient mobility and safe transfers to reduce fall risk and promote independence
Maintain clean, safe patient environments and adhere to infection control practices
Document care accurately and communicate observations to nurses and supervisors
Provide comforting presence and clear communication to patients and families
Assist with feeding and nutritional needs as directed
Collaborate with the care team to ensure timely, high-quality patient care

Qualifications

Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Current basic life support/CPR certification preferred or able to obtain
Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Comfortable working night shifts and adapting to per-diem scheduling

Education

CNA certification (required)
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong hands-on patient care skills and attention to detail
Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, mobility support
Good communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
Compassion, patience, and a calm approach in stressful situations
