Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Take and document vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Follow individualized care plans and help ensure patient comfort and dignity
• Support safe resident transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the charting system
• Adhere to infection control protocols and facility policies to keep everyone safe

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) - required
• T-CNA recognized as an acceptable credential for this role
• Travel CNA experience is a plus and shows you can adapt quickly
• Active eligibility to work in New Mexico and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in resident care, ADLs, and safe patient handling
• Knowledge of vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
• Familiarity with infection prevention best practices
• Comfortable with documentation and electronic charting workflows
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and follow directions
• Compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity for a diverse resident population
