Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners to obtain high-quality diagnostic images with precision and care
• Prepare and position patients for scans, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort
• Follow imaging protocols and adjust technical factors to optimize image quality
• Adhere to radiation safety practices and infection control standards at all times
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and the care team to support timely diagnoses
• Perform routine equipment quality checks and document procedures accurately
• Maintain clear, timely patient records and imaging documentation

Qualifications

• Registered Radiologic Technologist certified in CT or CT registry eligible
• State radiologic technologist license as required by the facility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required depending on site
• Previous CT experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging environment preferred
• Strong patient care skills and the ability to communicate clearly with diverse patients
• Ability to follow protocols, maintain safety standards and work well in a team

Education

• Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• Completion of a CT training program or documented CT experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Familiarity with PACS, DICOM and standard CT post-processing tools
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and dose optimization strategies
• Excellent patient positioning and immobilization techniques
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving during image acquisition
• Good documentation, time management and teamwork skills
