Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, accurate and timely medication dispensing and verification to support patient care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes
• Review medication orders for appropriateness, allergies and interactions with clinical judgment
• Counsel patients and caregivers on medication use, side effects and adherence when applicable
• Participate in clinical pharmacy services, including formulary management and medication reconciliation
• Document interventions and communicate effectively during shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist licensure in Florida or ability to obtain state licensure promptly
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience (as stated in the posting)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS in Pharmacy preferred
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations and inpatient medication management
• Current BLS certification and other facility-required certifications as applicable
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred; BS in Pharmacy accepted depending on state requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of inpatient pharmacy workflows, sterile and non-sterile compounding basics
• Medication safety practices, drug interaction screening and order verification
• Ability to use electronic health record (EHR) medication modules and pharmacy information systems
• Comfort collaborating with nurses, prescribers and ancillary staff in a fast-paced setting
• Time management skills for high-volume dispensing and clinical responsibilities
