Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, respectful personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report patient condition changes to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning
- Perform routine tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding with dignity
- Accurately document care provided and maintain up-to-date patient charts
- Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect patients and staff
- Collaborate closely with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support care plans
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state certification required)
- Current CPR/BCLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and supporting a variety of patient needs
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to pass required background and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic patient care and ADLs
- Familiarity with infection control best practices
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
