Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direction and guidance to hospital staff on policies, procedures, and patient care decisions
Coordinate patient flow and resource allocation to optimize throughput and quality of care
Organize workflow and assign duties to ensure staff understand responsibilities and delegated tasks
Monitor employee productivity and deliver constructive feedback and coaching
Collaborate with clinical leaders and the Chief Nursing Officer on administrative and clinical decisions
Work closely with charge nurses and support staff to resolve patient/family complaints and clinical concerns
Oversee clinical operations during assigned shifts, including escalation and problem solving for high-acuity patients

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Montana
CPR required
ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
Minimum 3 years of RN experience in a hospital setting with recent ICU experience preferred
Experience with ventilator management, A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, IV pumps, and cardiac monitoring
Demonstrated leadership experience in patient flow, resource nurse roles, or nurse leadership positions

Education

Degree from a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced nursing principles and post-operative patient care
Strong cardiac monitoring knowledge
Clinical supervision and staff assignment
Policy and procedure interpretation and application
Resource utilization and patient flow management
Excellent communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Critical thinking, problem solving, project development, and teamwork
Comfort using basic office equipment and multiple IV pumps
