Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiologic procedures using prescribed techniques, adjusting equipment settings to achieve optimal images
• Prepare exam rooms, position patients carefully, and handle contrast material preparation as needed
• Maintain daily cleaning of x-ray/CT rooms and perform general equipment maintenance and diagnostic testing
• Perform and document quality control tasks, maintaining required QC reports for procedures performed
• Assist with scheduling, answer phones, file and manage incoming patient scheduling to keep the unit running smoothly
• Participate in call assignments and respond to imaging needs as required
• Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure for patients and staff

Qualifications

• Completion of formal radiologic technologist training in an AMA-approved program
• ARRT registration required
• CT certification with a minimum of 6 months experience in Computerized Tomography
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• MRI experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area

• General X-ray techniques and radiation protection practices
• Quality control and equipment maintenance for imaging devices
• Patient immobilization and positioning for diagnostic imaging
• Contrast material preparation and safe handling
• Scheduling and clerical duties relevant to an imaging department
