Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical ventilation and titrate support safely and effectively
• Perform ABG collection and analysis to guide clinical decisions
• Deliver bronchodilator therapy and airway clearance interventions
• Provide tracheostomy care and assist with intubation when needed
• Administer high-flow oxygen therapy and operate specialty devices (Vapotherm, Metaneb)
• Respond quickly and competently to code blue events
• Safely transport patients and ensure continuity of respiratory care
• Document care accurately in Meditech and communicate clearly with the multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• RRT or CRT required
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (listing indicates 2)
• One year of ICU experience preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with ventilators and airway management

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management including Drager and Phillips V60 systems
• Experience with Vapotherm and Metaneb devices
• ABG collection and interpretation
• High-flow oxygen therapy and bronchodilator administration
• Trach care, intubation assist, and emergency response (code blue)
• Proficient documentation in Meditech and strong patient assessment skills
