Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Take and document vital signs and other clinical observations accurately and timely
- Assist the nursing team with implementing care plans and report changes in condition promptly
- Support resident comfort and dignity while encouraging independence and social engagement
- Maintain accurate resident records and comply with facility policies and infection control procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to help achieve the best resident outcomes
Qualifications
- Current LNA certification (Licensed Nursing Assistant) required
- LNA license valid in VT or NH preferred, given the VT/NH designation in the posting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work every other weekend as required by the facility
- Local candidate preferred (LOCAL ONLY assignment)
- Prior experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; LNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe transfers and mobility support
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with charting/EHR
- Infection control and standard precautions knowledge
- Clear communication and teamwork with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
