Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and mobility while promoting dignity and independence
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Perform safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
• Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team
• Support the nursing team in delivering exceptional, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required and valid in Pennsylvania
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working with older adult populations
• Ability to follow facility policies and meet background check and drug screen requirements if requested
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA program required
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, feeding and mobility assistance
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety protocols
• Competent with documentation and charting in clinical settings
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
