Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Document resident observations and care provided in a clear and timely manner
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
• Participate in resident care planning and follow assigned care plans

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state registration required; Pennsylvania certification preferred)
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or able to obtain promptly
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Good communication skills and attention to documentation detail

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with activities of daily living and basic patient care
• Familiarity with taking and recording vital signs
• Infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
