Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for residents
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families and the interdisciplinary team
• Document care accurately and timely in resident charts or electronic records
• Assist with meal service and feeding, ensuring dignity and proper nutrition
• Participate in infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — Pennsylvania CNA preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Comfort working evenings and collaborating with a team in long-term care
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
• Good documentation skills and comfort with electronic charting or paper charts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
