Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality acute care to adult Med-Surg and observation patients using the nursing process
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications safely and monitor patients for therapeutic response and adverse effects
• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient status, escalating concerns promptly
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, surgical teams, and cath lab staff
• Support patients through perioperative and hybrid cath lab procedures with thoughtful pre- and post-op care
• Participate in unit staffing and call rotation to maintain safe, continuous care
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in Colorado (required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Acute Care, Med-Surg, Telemetry, or similar settings
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association (required)
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification (required)
• Proof of influenza vaccination required (no exemptions)
• Able to provide Nursys verification, skills sheet, and required certifications when submitting

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong command of the nursing process and patient care planning
• Experience with medication administration and complex disease state management
• Telemetry monitoring and acute patient assessment skills
• Care coordination across teams and transitions of care
• Comfort working with OBS Unit patients and supporting orthopedic and hybrid cath lab procedures
• Good communication, critical thinking, and documentation skills
