Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Day (primarily day shift, No Call). Occasional weekends or after-hours may be required based on patient or departmental needs.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine and PET/CT exams with precision and compassion to support accurate diagnoses
- Administer, document, and manage radiopharmaceuticals safely, following state and federal regulations
- Execute routine quality control procedures to ensure imaging equipment is performing optimally
- Assist radiologists and clinical staff during exams and therapeutic procedures to deliver seamless patient care
- Complete thorough documentation for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
- Verify orders and patient information to ensure timely, accurate performance and reporting of procedures
- Participate in hospital quality initiatives and help improve patient outcomes through measurable contributions
- Support distribution, billing, and archival processes so records are accurate and accessible
Qualifications
- Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited program or equivalent
- ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB certification required
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
- Preferred: One (1) year post-graduate experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety and radiopharmaceutical handling
- Ability to work effectively in a busy acute care environment and maintain professional composure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort with clinical documentation systems
Education
- Graduate of an Allied Health/CAHEA accredited Nuclear Medicine program

- Nuclear Medicine imaging and PET/CT procedures
- Radiopharmaceutical handling, decay calculations, receipt/return and disposal protocols
- Radiation safety and regulatory compliance
- Quality control checks and imaging equipment troubleshooting
- Patient care techniques for safe, respectful interactions
- Clinical documentation and archiving best practices
- Basic computer applications and clinical information systems
- Teamwork, interpersonal communication, and assisting radiologists during procedures
