Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams using established protocols to provide accurate diagnostic images
• Prepare and position patients with care and clear communication to ensure comfort and safety
• Operate MRI equipment safely, following ARRT and facility radiation and safety guidelines
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses and support staff to optimize patient flow and throughput
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Epic charting system
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any technical issues promptly to ensure uptime
• Educate patients about procedures and address questions to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation

Qualifications

• ARRT-MR certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year MRI experience required, though first-timers are accepted per posting
• Active state MRI technologist license required (pending state licenses are not accepted)
• Comfortable charting in Epic or willing to train
• Excellent patient communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Completion of an accredited MRI or radiologic technology program
• ARRT-MR certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of MRI physics and common imaging protocols
• Proficiency with MR safety practices and screening procedures
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health record for documentation
• Ability to position patients of varied ages and conditions safely
• Troubleshooting basic scanner issues and escalating as needed
• Good time management to support a steady outpatient/inpatient workload
